Hey guys, welcome to my written review on the Sennheiser HD 219 S
Headphones. I had heard that Sennheiser was coming out with the "S"
version of there HD 219 headphones and so I decided to grab a pair to
try out and do a review for you guys. I wasn't expecting too much from
them as they looked somewhat small and unassuming from the packaging,
but I was pleasantly surprised with them in all aspects.
My Overview on the HD 219 S Headphones
The Sennheiser HD 219 S headphones come in a plastic clam style packaging. What is included are the headphones, 3.5mm plug adapter, and instruction manual. That's all! The headphones are of a mostly plastic construction and mat black in color, they are very lightweight and extremely comfortable to wear. The headband has a nice leather cushion on top and the earpieces are flat and smooth with leather all around except for the very center. The headband extends as usual like you would find on most standard headphones, and the earpieces pivot and swivel for an exceptional fit.
The only thing that bothered me about the construction of the Sennheiser 219's was the cord, as it was very short (around 3.5 feet) and also quite thin, this shouldn't bother you unless your expecting to be using these guys in a studio and need to move around a lot. The comfort while wearing these headphones really blew me away and I enjoyed wearing them in my living room while having them plugged into my tablet streaming YouTube videos and music, very comfy while at the same time not bulky in size at all.
Audio quality is fantastic
The audio quality on the Sennheiser HD 219 S aloud me to use the headphones for extended periods of time because it was so pleasant. The sound they produced was not one of a typical headphone but felt more like a surround sound system with the audio coming from all angles and with the perception of distance. The audio was not hugely "bassy" as they advertise on the package but more an overall tone of quality with a perfect amount of bass.
